The Times-Tribune reported today that a Carbondale man died Thursday as a result of an automobile accident on the Casey Highway. His car was stopped and was facing the wrong direction, without lights, when a westbound vehicle crashed into him. Police stated that the place he chose to stop was not visible to oncoming traffic. The man driving the westbound vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Tragedies like these happen on the roads of Northeast Pennsylvania and of the Pocono mountains every day. In the wake of a serious auto accident, a victim may be left facing overwhelming medical bills as well as the emotional trauma associated with the accident itself.
